Landmark filing involves the creation and submission of documentation to the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) for approval of renovation, alteration, or restoration work on designated landmarked structures. Both interior and exterior modifications to individual landmarks and buildings within historic districts require LPC review before any DOB filing can proceed.
